My Cougar was purchased through insurance salvage as a total. It was repaired and I enjoyed it for several years. Later my husband repainted it the nicer Lime Fire Metallic that was on the 1972 Torino. We sold the car to my husbands uncle and then bought it back several years later. It was then given to our son. He used it as a learning tool. Changing the 289 to a 302 and swapping out the automatic for a 4-speed transmission. The car finally found it's demise when a deer jumped in front of it.
