I have chosen the following works mostly by Franz Bischoff. He started as a china painter in Germany in the late 19th Century. While in Seattle, at the turn of the century, he taught my Great-Great Grandmother the art of china painting. He left Seattle, around 1907, to come to California, where he started painting on canvas. As you can see he painted over a large area of California.
